Dear Members; Friends; Neighbors; and Homeowners,
Our 2007 Membership Drive is now underway! 
The annual membership is $20.00 per individual homeowner and $35.00 for a family.  Additional donations are sincerely appreciated to help cover the many expenses involved in keeping updated equipment and trucks.  All donations are tax deductible. (Please complete and return the enclosed form; this information is for Fire Company use only.)
The Fire Company founded in 1977 has served the community for 30 years.
 In 2006, the Fire Company responded to 281 calls and put in a total of 1,055 man-hours answering emergency responses.
Volunteers – male and female – are urgently needed as fire fighters, fire police and to help at events. Junior fire fighters – male and female – are needed and accepted at 14 years of age; training is provided at no expense.  Our focus is on member safety and community support.  We feel it is important to involve the youth of our community for social growth and positive involvement in our community. Seniors are also encouraged to be active supporters to ease the burden on our Emergency responders.
Our trucks include:  new 2006 Pierce Rescue/Pumper costing $500,000 plus the cost of equipment; a new 2006 Ford Light Rescue truck used for QRS /Rescue and Special Services with an AED on-board; 2000 Ford Brush Truck; 1991Pierce Pumper Tanker.
The Albrightsville Firehouse is a local Emergency Shelter.
In addition, our Fire Safety Trailer services the community educationally, 1,413 children were educated on fire safety.  The Fire Safety Trailer was at: Weatherly Area, Jim Thorpe Area – Penn/Kidder Campus, and East Penn Twp. Elementary schools and Towamensing Twp.  Fire Company festival, and serves as a Mobile Emergency Command Center.  If your organization would like to have the Fire Safety Trailer participate at a community event, please call the firehouse (570-722-8325) to make arrangement.
What our volunteers have done in the past year.
In 2006, 4,250 breakfasts were served which included 963 lbs. of sausage; 610 lbs. of ham; 2,015 lbs. of potatoes; 8,958 eggs and 46 gallons of chip beef.  10,980 cans of soda/water and ice tea were consumed throughout the year.
Volunteer hours: Breakfast: 2,216 Hrs. Bingo: 3,024 Hrs. Auction nights: 1,215 Hrs. Fire Safety trailer: 219 Hrs. and with 1660 Training hours, plus 1,055 man-hours answering emergency responses, all provided by dedicated volunteers from Albrightsville Volunteer Fire Company to the community. It comes to 9360 volunteer hours.
Our regular fund raising events:
BINGO: 6:30PM, every Saturday, doors open at 5:00PM
ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT BREAKFAST:  1st Sunday of the Month
The Firehouse has auctions by a local auctioneer on Friday nights.  While these auctions are not a fire company event, we do have fire company volunteers cooking in the fire company kitchen.  The kitchen is open to the public on auction night and proceeds go to the fire company.

Our future events include: benefit horse shows; special Bingo events; an Open House and dedication for our new 2006 Pierce Rescue/Pumper; the 2006 Ford Light Rescue Truck and the Safety Trailer.
